To build your chart and readings, we may collect:

Birth details: name (optional), birth date, birth time, sex, and birthplace (latitude/longitude, used to calculate true solar time);
Account info (if you create one): email address;
Usage: pages viewed and charts you generate;
Feedback: any ratings or notes you send us about a reading;
Payment info (if you purchase): handled by our payment processor — we never store your full card details.

2. How we use it

Birth details are used to generate your chart and the readings you ask for;
Your email is used to sign you in and send service updates;
Feedback helps us improve the quality of our interpretations;
Aggregated, de-identified usage helps us understand and improve the app.

3. Who we share with

We don't sell your personal information. We share only with the service providers needed to run the app:

Hosting and analytics providers (e.g. Vercel);
Our payment processor (e.g. Airwallex), if you make a purchase;
AI providers (e.g. Anthropic Claude) to generate interpretations from your chart;
Authorities, where required by law.

4. Security

We use standard safeguards (encrypted transport, access controls). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

5. Your rights

Access the data tied to your account;
Delete a saved chart or your whole account;
Export a copy of your personal data.

6. Cookies & local storage

We use cookies / local storage to remember your light or dark theme, your recent charts, and (if you sign in) your session. You can clear or block these in your browser, though some features may stop working.

7. Children

PurpleStar is intended for users 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll flag significant changes; continuing to use the app means you accept the updated version.
