What it adds
San Tai is a rank star, paired with Eight Seats, and the two are read together as the tradition's marker of formal standing.
It shows up as being treated as more senior than the title suggests. People defer slightly, ask their opinion in meetings, and assume competence — which is a considerable head start.
It works best in company. Alone it gives bearing without much behind it; alongside a strong major star it turns real ability into recognised ability.
