What it adds
Tian De is the classical protective star, and the mechanism the tradition proposes is moral rather than magical: the goodwill built up over years is what turns up when it is needed.
It shows up as narrow escapes and unexpected leniency — the situation that could have gone badly and did not, often because someone chose to be generous.
It pairs with Moon Virtue. The tradition is consistent that this kind of protection is accumulated, not granted.
