The Treasurer
The safe place everyone ends up leaning on. A star of reserves, not of income.
What it is
Tian Fu is the southern counterpart to Zi Wei — the treasury to the throne. Where 武曲 is money earned, 天府 is money kept: reserves, the storehouse, the thing that is still there after a bad year.
It is a stabilising star in the most literal sense. Wherever it sits, that area of life stops swinging.
How it actually shows up
Treasurers build the place everyone else ends up leaning on — the reliable household, the department that does not blow up, the friend who has a spare room. They are trusted with things, and the trust is well placed.
Prudence is the operating style. A Tian Fu person rarely makes the exciting decision, and rarely makes the ruinous one either.
What tests it
Change that cannot be managed. Tian Fu is built for accumulation, not for reinvention, and a period that demands starting over costs it more than it costs 破军.
The classics also note the empty-treasury case: 天府 with no substantial stars nearby is a storehouse with nothing in it — the appearance of security without the reserves behind it.
