The Fourteen Major Stars

Fourteen major stars are distributed across the twelve palaces. They are not planets and they do not correspond to anything in the sky — they are positions in a calculated system, derived from the birth date, hour, and true solar time.

Each star is a character with a method: The Emperor sets direction, The General executes, The Voice questions, The Pioneer rebuilds. What a star means depends heavily on which palace it lands in — the same Wolf reads very differently in Wealth than in Partner.

Some palaces hold two majors, some hold one, and some hold none. An empty palace is not a blank: it borrows from the palace opposite, and that borrowed reading is genuine.
