What it adds
Xian Chi is the appetite star — desire in the broad sense, not only romantic. It intensifies whatever the person already wants and makes the wanting visible.
It shows up as magnetism that is less polite than Charm's. Where one is easy to be around, this one is harder to look away from, and the difference matters.
The tradition files it under the same heading as Charm and is similarly disapproving. What it is actually describing is someone who does not pretend to want less than they do — which reads as a flaw only in company that finds appetite embarrassing.
