What it adds
Jie Shen is release — the star that unbinds. Whatever was stuck loosens, and the difficulty that looked permanent turns out to have had an exit.
It shows up as a person who is good in a crisis for other people: they see the way out, and they are unusually able to talk someone down.
The tradition treats it as relief rather than reward. It does not add anything; it removes what was in the way.
